District 1 Spring Majors Competitive Team and Tryout Information
What: A Spring competitive District 1 initiative/program
Who: All major-aged players in District 1
Why: Some players/families would like to enhance their Spring season with an additional competitive schedule. District 1 is attempting to create a Majors competitive Spring team.
Length: The proposed schedule will include 2-3 tournaments, along with some weekend doubleheaders. As well the schedule will include 3-4 double-headers. The season will start with indoor practices in March. The final competition/games will be held the first weekend of June.
Tryout Dates:
Saturday, February 21 @ 1:00-2:00 pm, 2:00-3:00 pm (Two sessions; we will try to keep the tryout numbers smaller, for each period, in order that each child gets a good look.)
Monday, February 23 @ 6:00-7:00 pm, 7:00-8:00 pm (Two sessions again)
Format: Interested players only have to appear at one tryout session. Please email
Dale Tilleman (dtille@telus.net) which sessions work best for you. If you have conflicts with both dates, please let him know. Players will need to provide their own gear. If someone catches, and does not have access to catching gear, please notify him.
Time: Each child will have a tryout for one hour.
Where: Lloyd Nolan Indoor facility - 545 6th Ave N, Lethbridge, Alberta
No cost for the initial tryout
If selected, there will be a registration fee charge to cover all costs.
